Register (annual membership) in your grade. A library card will be emailed to you, to gain access to the secret site with additional information, charts, diagrams, photos, games, test booklet and so on.
 
Kids, did you know that you can work towards an Equine Science diploma by taking the Equestrian 4 kids program! It's loaded with information and taught in a fun that reinforces all theory. Take grades 2-10 and the young rider levels to earn a total of 10 bonus credits! For the diploma you need 60, but you can earn more in the rider levels, and the discipline courses too! 

According to the AGE:  TOTS (4-6 years), PRIMARY (7-9 years), JUNIORS (10-12 years), TEENS (13-15 years but optional for 16-18 as well)

                                                     Young Rider levels A, B, C, and D

These levels are special based for children who are not yet ready for the International Rider Levels. They are perfect for coaches to set up a riding program based on versatility and proper horsemanship. Everything is automatically sent to young members.

Upon completion, a certificate will be mailed. (Must be a current member). You can earn a credit for riding all the tests scoring 55+%.
 
NEW:
We would like to encourage more young riders to take part in video testing. For our next academic performance testing date (December 30), Young Riders can now perform a kur, musical freestyle, as per level (A, B, C or D). One kur per horse and rider combination allowed. Same rule applies, the combination needs to have scored a 55% or higher in that level before entering a kur. It's time to strut your stuff and we have ribbons for every kur as well as the Danish ribbons! 
 
Time allowed: 2-3 minutes. 
 
Elements for Young Rider A: Walk, Halt, Stand for 5 seconds, Turn left, Turn right, Small Circle Left at walk, Small Circle Right at walk. Only Young Rider A can be led.
 
Elements for Young Rider B: Walk, Halt, Walk on long rein for 10 - 20 metres, Turn left, Turn right, Small Circle Left at walk, Small Circle Right at walk. Must not be led.
 
Elements for Young Rider C: Walk, Halt, Walk on long rein for 10 - 20 metres, Turn left, Turn right, Small Circle Left at walk, Small Circle Right at walk, Trot on the rail for a minimum of 20 metres on left rein, Trot on the rail for a minimum of 20 metres on left rein. Must not be led.
 
Elements for Young Rider D: Walk, Halt, Walk on long rein for 10 - 20 metres, Turn left, Turn right, Small Circle Left at trot, Small Circle Right at trot, Trot on the rail for a minimum of 20 metres on left rein, Trot on the rail for a minimum of 20 metres on left rein. Must not be led. 
 Young Rider Tests: (optional attire) videos due in by Sept 30, Dec 30, March 30, and Aug 20 

These tests accompany the young rider level report card and are needed for certification.
