CLASSES: (English, Classical or Western)
STAGE ONE: BASIC HORSE CAMPAIGN
This is an excellent beginning class for green horses and green riders. The focus is on developing the walk and trot. The canter is not called for. The horses get used to 20 meter circles and developing the free walk. Tests are Test 1 and Test 2.
Demi Degree (Training/Preliminary/E/B) - (Training Level/Preliminary/E/B) 2.0 credits - Sample Classical Dressage Test 3
This is another entry type class, but the canter is called for. All gaits are called 'working'. The horse is asked to stretch down and forward in a 20 meter circle.Tests are Test 3 and Test 4. The Veteran Horse tests have optional canter for bonus marks and are a bit shorter. For course credit, canter must be done at each veteran test.
1st Degree (First Level/Novice/A/L) - (First Level/Novice/A/L) 2.0 credits - To see the tests, apply for a membership and receive the almanac.
This is the last class in Stage One of the Basic Horse Campaign. The horse must be working with a level to uphill top-line and has good working gaits. The lengthened stride is also called for. Horses canter the 15 meter circle and are also asked to leg yield. Tests are 5 and 6. Veteran tests are optional. For course credit, canter work must be done at each veteran test.
STAGE TWO: MEDIUM CAMPAIGN HORSE
2nd Degree (Second Level/Elementary/L/M) - (Second Level/Elementary/L/M) 2.0 credits - Sample Classical Dressage Test 7
Horses are asked to develop collected trot and canter, as well as the medium gaits. The horse must canter 10 meter voltes, perform the plie, the renvers/travers. The turn on the haunches is started, not to be confused with the rollback or spins in Western disciplines. It is the development of the pirouette. Tests are 7 and 8. Veteran tests are optional. For course credit, canter must be done at each veteran test.
3rd Degree (Third Level/Medium/M/Z) - (Third Level/Medium/M/Z) 2.0 credits
This is the middle of the Medium program, where the horse is asked for medium and extended gaits. The horse is also asked to perform the half pass and the flying change. Tests are 9 and 10. Veteran tests are optional. For course credit, canter must be done at each veteran test.
4th Degree (Fourth Level/Advanced Medium/R/ZZ) - (Fourth Level/Advanced Medium/R/ZZ) 2.0 credits
By the end of Stage Two all horses must work in pure gaits at the collected, medium and extended paces. The horse is also asked to show uberstreichen at the canter in a 20 meter circle. Horses are developed the canter half pirouette and 3 flying changes across the diagonal every 4th stride. Tests are 11 and 12. Veteran tests are optional. For course credit, canter must be done at each veteran test.
STAGE THREE: ADVANCED CAMPAIGN HORSE
5th Degree (Upper levels/Advanced/S/ZZZ) - (Prix St. George Level & Intermediare I Level) 2.0 credits
The horse must show pure gaits with more engagement and collection. He must be able to perform five 4-time & 3-time changes as well as seven 2-time changes. The full pirouette at the canter is developed. Tests are 13 and 14. Veteran test is optional. For course credit, veteran tests do not count.
STAGE FOUR: SCHOOL/CAMPAIGN HORSE

6th Degree (Upper levels/Advanced/S/ZZZ) - (Intermediare II Level & Grand Prix Level) 2.0 credits
The horse must show complete collection and extension ability. The horse must also develop the ability to do single tempi changes. The Airs of Menage are also performed. They include the canter pirouette in complete engagement and collection done in 6-8 strides, as well as the passage and the piaffe. Tests are 15 and 16. Veteran test is optional. For course credit, the veteran test does not count.

Based on the ancient form of riding in proper equitation with a sequential training system that takes many years to develop horses. Regardless of conformation, this system helps stay sound and happy, working in harmony with their riders, creating longevity for the horse's useful life.
